Engineering Change Proposal (ECP)

The ECP is a way for ATIS system users to provide valuable feedback from user-viewpoint observations of undesirable system behavior, suggestions for improvements on existing processes, ideas for new functions or processes, requests for information about a particular feature to problems following user documentation (help files).

THE ECP PROCESS:

User initiates the ECP by filling out the online web form (right panel) and emails to ATIS. ATIS then forwards the request to the Configuration Manager, who then reviews the ECP and checks for completeness and adds information or attachments if needed. A joint ATIS-TCM reviewing team will screen your ECP for validity. Your ECP may not pass the initial screening due to a conflict with Army policy or it has already been validated as a desirable requirement and is awaiting implementation. If your ECP is disapproved, you will receive an explanation via the email address you provided on the form. If your ECP looks viable, it moves on, but may still be disapproved later in the process when reviewed by the Configuration Control Board (CCB), for reasons such as practicality or affordability. CCB-approved ECPs may take considerable time to implement within ATIS Learning depending on a number of factors, such as clarity of detailed requirements, complexity of work, or need to coordinate work efforts with other organizations.
